The cause was that supercell think that global chat will make players friends, they also think that it will help new players, and it was right. But, after sometime, they saw that players are sharing their accounts for development of their bases by different people and this was leading to decrease in new clash of clans accounts.
They also warn all the players, but players didn't listen, so now you can see that global chat is no more, and you all have to play fare. May be it will get our global chat back.
